ADEX-VCA

The ADEX-VCA system is a moisture-managed exterior insulation and finish system (EIFS) that incorporates a secondary liquid applied weather resistive barrier (LA-WRB) and a flat EPS insulation board. The vertical channels of adhesive that attach the EPS insulation board provide a capillary break for moisture to mitigate out of the system.

CHARACTERISTICS

• Favourably evaluated by CCMC (12913-R).
• ADEX EPS-FLAT insulation provides a uniform blanket of continuous insulation (CI); reduces energy use.
• The liquid applied weather resistive barrier (LA-WRB) provides seamless protection of the building envelope against air and moisture infiltration.
• The system is in full compliance with CAN/ULC-S716 “Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) ”.
• The ADEX -VCA system, or its major components meet the following non-combustibility standards:

1. CAN/ULC-S134: Fire Test of Exterior Wall Assemblies;
2. CAN/ULC-S114: Method of Test for Determination of Non-Combustibility in Building Materials;
3. CAN/ULC-S101: Fire Endurance Tests of Building Construction and Materials.
